Zuker’s The Dark Angel Turned Away is now in Paperback!
This is now Book 1 of the series The Zuker Memoirs and is sold on Amazon.com. The paperback is printed in black and white–not a problem for B/W photos–so the color version of photos originally in color are available for viewing here in the Photo Album.
The cover art was designed by Wayne Coskrey and the book published by Coskrey Biz. We are proud of this gem of a book and thrilled to have Fred as one of our authors.
The Dark Angel Turned Away is jointly written by Fred and his father Ray Zuker. Ray Zuker was a pilot of B-17 and B-24 bombers out of Sudbury, England in WWII. And this book has some unique images: map, letter home, orders, commendation, aereal photo, warplanes and more.
The Story in a Very Small Nutshell
Ray Zuker remembers the terror of facing death when at war while facing the terror of major surgery on his Aorta in old age. He tells the story of his war years mixed with memories of his early life. Having survived both occasions when he faced the Dark Angel, in war and in surgery, he relates events of his later life, including a return to England with his son Fred, to see the airfield from which he flew and Roley, the man who made a museum of the all things associated with the airfield.
Fred Zuker would have done better summary than I just did. He is a much better writer than I!
