Standing Tall and Looking Good
Valerie talks about Fred
This is the first of The Zuker Memoirs
After boot camp, Fred Zuker took as his motto for living a full life the words of a chant often sung in boot camp during the many marches. The chant is frequently repeated in his memoir, Standing Tall and Looking Good: One Soldier’s Life and Lessons Learned from 1968-1971, as part of the cadences he cites.
Considering the story that he tells, there is evidence that his attention to professionalism and leadership was learned early in his life. Furthermore, his success in academia indicates that these traits were a strong part of his character throughout his life. ~~Valerie of Coskrey Biz
